Who We Are

We are, in our clients' opinion, the number one provider of effective and appropriate labour solutions throughout the central belt in Scotland.

Our company was originally set up in 1995, and we have 3 directors who share in excess of half a century of industry experience.  Clients can all deal directly with one of our directors so there are no delays because of any red tape. 

We have provided clients with solutions to their temporary and permanent labour issues for over a decade.  Whether it's one placement or one thousand placements that are required, we are set up to react promptly with the appropriate staff on time, every time.  We provided one of our clients with 800 temporary workers in Scotland, we've also worked on a project to export over 200 Scottish workers to work on a project in Ireland.  When dealing with projects abroad, we arrange transport and accommodation for our people and maintain contact with them on a regular basis.

Over the past decade we have built up a database of over 50,000 candidates allowing us to respond quickly to our clients needs.  We also have an excellent relationship with the press and are able to gain preferential rates to advertise positions (if needed). 

We believe firmly in training our staff to industry standards and you will find that our directors and consultants are qualified members of either Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD) or the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (MREC).  This helps to ensure you receive a consistently high level of service.  We find this is the key difference that makes the difference between ourselves and our competition - because of the outstanding levels of service we provide our clients with, clients stay with us long-term, we still help some clients today that we originally started working with in mid nineties.

We also provide our client's with ‘open book' accounting.  For permanent placements, we offer a highly competitive rate of 10% across the board for all vacancies.  For temporary placements we offer a static management fee - that means the same hourly rate for all hours worked, not double the fee for double time hours as some of our competition do.  We process weekly pay for our workers via a timesheet they will complete and have verified by their supervisors, one of our consultants will collect these each Monday morning.  In over a decade of processing our workers pay, we have never missed a deadline and can 100% guarantee that all timesheets received on time, will be processed for that weeks' pay.  We took the decision very early on that the key to ensuring a successful relationship was to pull out all of the stops for our workers and make sure they are happy and have no issues, this helps to ensure optimum levels of productivity for our clients. 

Before any of our workers start working with a client, they will have been vetted through a telephone-screening interview then through one of our patented assessment centres.  At these assessment centres, our consultants spend several hours with the candidates running through several stages of a customised process including:

  • Icebreaker
  • Full presentation detailing the client, the vacancy, rates and shifts and any specific requirements
  • Teamwork exercise
  • Tests: various tests are available including:

                               - Numerical reasoning

                         - Verbal reasoning

                         - Spacial reasoning

                         - Isihara colour blindness test

                         - Crawfords small part dexterity test

                         - Any client specific test or we can customise a test for the role

  • Customised behavioural interview

We then ensure references are in place from most recent employer, before any offer of a start date with a client is made.

Our consultants meet with any workers on their first morning, if possible, and give them a start pack, which includes appropriate details of the working time regulations, contracts etc.

We keep in constant communication with our workers via telephone calls and regular on site surgeries. We are also involved in conducting any appraisal interviews or disciplinary interviews as required.
